About Us

West High School Mountain Bike Team represents West High School as part of the Utah Interscholastic Cycling League. The Utah Interscholastic Cycling League has joined 32 other leagues across the country who are part of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association.

West High Mountain Bike Team supports the NICA Core Values of Fun, Inclusivity, Equity, Respect and Community, and using mountain bikes as a tool to bulid strong minds, bodies, character and community.

West High School Mountain Bike Team develops strong riders entering grades 7-12. We focus on improving fitness and riding skills within a fun and inclusive team environment. We participate in the Utah Interscholastic Cycling League race series where we compete as a team against other team across Utah. Riders entering grades 7-8 participate in our Devo program, training with the team and racing a modified schedule of 3 races. Our GRiT program, Girls Riding Together, supports female riders and coaches.

Our coaches are all volunteers and generally parents of students in the program. NICA provides high-quality education, training and licensing for our coaches and volunteers. Our team adheres to the Rules and Guidelines set forth by NICA. Please consider volunteering to coach so we are able to meet the student demand for the program.
